BIOGRAPHY:
Ruth is a Registered Clinical Counsellor in private practice
in Vancouver. Since 1995, she has been guiding individuals,
groups and families through transformative processes.
She has a strong appreciation for the subtle and not so
subtle factors that influence progress and movement forward.
Ruth’s focus is to empower individuals, in the midst
of adversity, and challenge them to tap into their inner
resources to reach their highest potential.
Ruth has extensive expertise and training in mediating
conflict, negotiating skills, defusing crisis, team building,
parenting, managing stress, and interpersonal communication
skills. She has also worked in a counseling capacity with
a diverse group of agencies including family services,
educational institutions, an assessment service, first
nation groups, and a private residential treatment centre
dealing with addictions.
Ruth’s personal experience with collaborative separation/divorce
was the impetus for her to incorporate divorce coaching
into her private practice. As a coach, Ruth creates a
platform built upon the tenets of respect and integrity
allowing couples to create life-affirming choices for
the well being and long-term best interests of all family
members.
Client’s respond to and respect Ruth’s skill
at creating a safe environment for them to speak openly
without fear of judgment, problem solve, reduce the intensity
of the situation and prepare them for the collaborative
process.
