BIOGRAPHY:
Don is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who has been counselling professionally since 2004. Prior to counselling, Don worked as a social worker in northern B.C., as an elementary and secondary teacher and principal in Burnaby and as an instructor/coordinator in the NITEP program at U.B.C. Most recently, Don worked as a child and family counsellor at Cameray Child and Family Services in Burnaby. While at Cameray, in addition to his work with children and parents, Don worked with groups of fathers in exploring their parenting roles.
Don has experience and training in a wide variety of counselling approaches but specializes in attachment/relationship issues. He is a trained Neufeld Parent Educator, has training in mediation, collaborative divorce, restitution and restorative justice. Don utilizes his experience and training to support couples and their children as they navigate through difficult transitions. |
