BIOGRAPHY:
Deborah is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and Collaborative Divorce Coach in private practice near South Granville Street. She has worked with families in various counselling capacities since 1983. She approaches her work from a holistic perspective. That is, she takes into account the practical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual aspects of separation and the loss that families experience during this profound transition in their lives. She includes communication and conflict resolution skills in her work with parents as she helps them develop a parenting plan and co-parenting strategies. She also works with children and offers them support as they adapt and cope with their experience of loss and change associated with their parent’s separation. She draws on her collaboration and advanced mediation training in her work as a Divorce Coach.
Deborah is one of the founding members and former Co-Chairs of the Collaborative Divorce Association of B.C. She also a former Board Member of the International Academy of Collaborative Practitioners and she presents workshops on the spiritual dimension of separation and divorce at the IACP annual networking forums. As well, she is a founding Board Member of the Parenting Coordinators of B.C. |
